What are the signs indicating the occurrence of allergies?Allergy symptoms are highly case specific. Different types of allergies might have different types of symptoms in different people. However, symptoms of allergies broadly categorized under three heads. They are mild, moderate, and severe. Severe allergic reaction symptoms are also known as anaphylactic in medicinal terms. In case of mild allergic reactions, symptoms appear in some specific body parts. These symptoms do not spread or transmit to other body parts. Commonly experienced mild symptoms of allergies are rashes in skin, hives, and itching, watery and reddish eyes, congestion. As these symptoms do not spread to other parts, their treatment is easier and less time consuming compared to moderate and severe reaction. . In case of moderate reactions, allergy symptoms are capable of transmitting to multiple body parts. Symptoms faced by people suffering from moderate allergic reaction are difficulty while breathing and itching. Anaphylaxis is rare in occurrence. In some cases anaphylaxis might be life threatening. In this case, the victim’s response towards allergen is sudden. Along with, it can affect the whole body with in a limited period of time. Normally, the initial symptoms of severe reactions are itching in eyes or face. Within minutes, the victim experiences severe allergic symptoms like extreme difficulty in breathing, abdominal pain, vomiting, mental confusion and cramps. It needs immediate medical attention. |
