Using too much of this drug can make the body's adrenal glands to cease producing its own steroids. Steroids are important especially if the body is under stress from infections, surgery, or other conditions.

Withdrawal from long-term usage of steroid nasal sprays can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or mild to serious upset stomach. Such symptoms should be reported to your physician right away. Do not suddenly stop using the medication since it can be dangerous. Another reported danger from long-term usage of this drug is the increased risk for infections and diseases. This is because corticosteroid can lower down a body's resistance.
