Food allergy & food intolerance: Are both same?The concept of food intolerance is not as common as food allergy. Almost all of us are aware about the food allergies and its fast reactions. If a person is affected by any food allergies he/she is affected by its symptoms soon. The reaction can be seen instantly on the consumption of the triggered food. On the other hand, food intolerance is totally opposite to food allergy. If you are affected by intolerance due to the consumption of any food then, the reaction cannot be seen instantly. The symptoms are visible in hours or sometimes even after days. Coughing, vomiting, sneezing, migraines, rashes, swelling tissue, watering eyes and hives are some of the symptoms of food allergy. Underweight, digestive problems, immune disorders are some of the symptoms of food intolerance. Generally, food intolerance issues are neglected by many of us resulting into severe heath issues. Several medications are available in the market to treat food allergy and food intolerance. If food intolerance not taken care of in the early stage than the tissue of the suspect can be damaged permanently. Recovery of such internal body part is impossible. It is very difficult to treat intolerance than allergy due to the high risk behavior carried by intolerance. |
