What Is Clarinex


When having symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, itching, plus a runny nose it is usually from Histamine because that can produce those symptoms in the body. Clarinex helps the body because it is an antihistamine that reduces the chemical histamine and can stop or reduce the allergy symptoms. Clarinex can also be used to treate skin hives, chronic skin reactions, and the common cold.

If patients have had allergic reactions to Claritin or desloratadine then Clarinex should not be taken. Children under two years of age should not use Clarinex. If a patient has had either a kidney disease or liver issues then they should talk with their doctor before using this medication. Women that might be pregnant, expecting to become pregnant or either breast feeding should also talk with their doctor first before taking it.

Clarinex side effects include but not limited to:

- seizures possibly convulsions
- fever
- fast heartbeat
- jaundice
- muscle pain
- dry mouth
- cough
- sore throat
- headache
- nausea
- drowsiness
- diarrhea
- fatigue

When any of these side effects happen the doctor should be notified. The doctor should also be notified if the patient is not feeling right when taking Clarinex because this is not a complete list of side effects.
