Burning eyes and allergy

Yes, allergies can cause burning sensation in the eyes as well as itching. But, there are many other causes too which can make the eyes itchy and lead to burning. These are environmental pollutants, cigarette smoke, some substance in the eyes, bacterial infections, and pink eye.

Burning sensation and itching in the eyes due to allergy can cause lot of discomfort. Use artificial tears 3-4 times a day to get relief from symptoms.

Maintain hygienic habits and avoid touching the eyes every now and then. 

Wash eye lids with baby shampoo to clean the eyes.
